I dislike meditating. Not intensely dislike it but it doesn’t resonate with me. I’ve taken meditation classes, bought meditation programs online, listened to YouTube videos and even done Oprah’s meditation program 6 times! It still doesn’t resonate with me.
Am I a sucky spiritual person? Will refusing to meditate keep me from going up in frequency? Do I need to worry this?
Absolutely not! As with everything, check in with you. If meditating is your jam, meditate the day away. If you prefer to journal, have an active yoga practice, take a hike in the woods, or listen to music on your drive to work … Do that. If you haven’t found your thing, don’t worry it.
There are loads of rules and regulations around spiritual practices. What to eat, who to be friends with, how to pray, what to wear … The list is long and none of them are a requirement!
Source doesn’t have judgment and pictures of what being spiritual means. That’s generated by people, religions, organizations. Deep sigh … Let that go!
Do you. That works best. Always. (now that’s a rule!) 😎
